How to lean into pivots

Many stay in careers, paths and journeys because of comfort, because of the need to continue to do what they know they can do. But during those years, you have a lot of instincts, a lot of “gut feelings”, a lot of moments of “I wonder if …” and a sense of “I stopped learning but I know how to do my work well”. These are all ways to stay in the comfort all your life.

Here is what my first pivot led me to do, which I would not have fathomed would be my journey when I went to Medical School.

When you choose to listen, to that instinct, that feather tap on your shoulder, the gut alarm, the desire to do more, it can open up so many doors, to journeys you don’t and shouldn’t know until you are ready to pivot.

Once you pivot, you are in essence closing a door and telling the Universe you are ready for more … and those doors start to open up that lead you to your new journey, one that is filled with a bit of anticipation (which is great), a bit of fear (which is a sense of the unknown) and a bit of excitement (because you know something new will happen). It is that journey that builds those neuron connections and makes you start thinking, getting out of your comfort and experiencing the world.

If you are in a place of comfort and want to think through your own journey, reach out and I can help you step out of that comfort zone and embrace a new path!

We start at the cellular level, where life begins … and change is possible as long as we want to change.
